Weeks before event
1. ) Hand out Battle Card Keys 2 weeks prior to event
2.) Recruit Referees 8 REFEREES (Needed Opening Rounds) + 2 Official Number Battle Referees + Tournament Director
3.) Gym or Large space needs to be reserved and secured for day of event. Gather at least one large screen timer (Gym Score Clock) and eight timers/stop watches.
4.) Pre-register contestants. 3rd-6th Grade Contestants
Day before event
1.) Set up gym with fan viewing area and 8 competition tables (student desks will work)
2.) Depending on number of registrants, "Day of" registration can take place at a separate table near entrance or at competition tables.

7:45 am - Volunteers arrive
8:00 am - Day of Event Registration and Seeding tables are ready to accept registrants.
8:45 am Registration Closes
8:45-9:00 am - Seeding Complete and brackets set
Based on seeding there will be 3 Divisions. Division 1, Division 2 and Division 3.
Seeding One deck shuffled.
Two cards at a time are place face up, contestant shouts product. If incorrect, cards stay on table until contestant gets it correct or passes.
If contestant passes, he/she will receive a 9 second penalty for each passed pair.
Shortest time gets best seed. Top 16 seeds get in Division 1, Next 16 get Division 2, Bottom 16 or any of those over 3 minutes 30 seconds in the seeding round will enter a lottery for seeds in Division 3. This is to be done to protect the identity of the slowest contestants.

"Cheat sheet" can be used.
Contestants simultaneously chant "1, 2, 3" and then flip card over to start each hand.
Contestants judge their own hands. If a hand is won and opponent acknowledges, the contestant can take the two cards (hand) and place at the bottom of his/her pile. Calls must be clear. Rushed inaudible answers are unaccepatable.
Judges do not intervene unless there is a delay of game or contestant challenges.
One challenge per game. If challenge is successful, contestant gets another challenge
Delay of game warning. Hands should take no more than ten seconds from start of one to start of next. Second delay of game disqualifies competitor
