Numbers wear jerseys.
Your brain reads the roster.
Instead of cold digits, every card shows a U.S. Men's National Team player. Kids recall the squad number, then multiply or add. It works both sides of the brain — sports memory and math — so soccer fans and number-lovers both get a foothold.

1
Read the player
See “Tyler Adams.” Think 4. The name is the clue; the squad number is the value hiding underneath.
-
2
Battle the values
Two cards flip. Multiply them — 4 × 3 — and the first to shout 12 wins both cards.
-
3
Take the pile
Win rounds, take cards. Most cards wins the war. Then head to the Skill Yard for six more ways to train.
At All-Star rank a wild-card legend flips the round to addition — add the two numbers instead of multiplying. Watch it play out above before you get there.
Every number, a soccer star.
This American Soccer deck hides each value inside a national-team player and their squad number. Learn the roster once and you read the whole deck on sight.
WILD Cards
The players behind the numbers.
Soccer's shirt numbers carry real meaning — every position has its traditional digit. Tap a number to read the connection between the player, the shirt, and the role on the pitch.
1Matt Turner · Goalkeeper
In soccer, the number 1 has always belonged to the goalkeeper — the last line of defense and the only player allowed to use their hands inside the box. Matt Turner guards the net for the U.S. Men's National Team, where lightning reflexes and brave decisions can swing a match in a single moment.
2Sergiño Dest · Defender
The number 2 is the classic right-back's shirt, worn by defenders who patrol the flank and surge forward to join the attack. Sergiño Dest brings exactly that blend of defending and overlapping runs to the U.S. back line.
3Walker Zimmerman · Defender
Traditionally a defender's number, 3 marks the players who hold the back line together. Walker Zimmerman is a commanding center-back for the national team, known for winning headers and organizing the defense in front of the keeper.
4Tyler Adams · Midfielder & Captain
The number 4 often belongs to a team's defensive anchor — the engine who breaks up attacks and starts new ones. Tyler Adams wore the captain's armband for the United States at the 2022 international tournament, leading from the heart of midfield.
5Antonee Robinson · Defender
Another defender's number, 5 is worn by players who pair toughness with pace. Antonee Robinson is one of the fastest full-backs around, flying up and down the left side for the national team and whipping in dangerous crosses.
6Yunus Musah · Midfielder
The number 6 is the holding midfielder's shirt — the player who shields the defense and links the play together. Yunus Musah covers huge stretches of grass in the middle of the park, driving forward with the ball at his feet.
7Gio Reyna · Forward
Number 7 is one of soccer's most glamorous shirts, traditionally worn by creative wingers and attackers. Gio Reyna brings flair and vision to the U.S. attack, threading clever passes and scoring from the edge of the box.
8Weston McKennie · Midfielder
The number 8 is the box-to-box midfielder — equally at home defending deep and arriving late in the box to score. Weston McKennie's relentless energy and knack for big goals make him a national-team mainstay.
9Ricardo Pepi · Forward
The number 9 is the striker's number, reserved for the team's main goal scorer who leads the line. Ricardo Pepi is a young U.S. forward with a sharp instinct for finding space and putting the ball in the back of the net.
10Christian Pulisic
The number 10 is soccer's most magical shirt, worn by the playmaker who makes the whole team tick. Christian Pulisic is the captain and creative star of the modern national team — the player fans look to in the biggest moments.
13Clint Dempsey
Clint Dempsey is one of the all-time leading goal scorers in U.S. national team history — a fearless attacker famous for his competitive fire and a knack for scoring on the world's biggest stages.
14Michael Bradley
Michael Bradley was a tireless midfield general who captained the United States for years, dictating the tempo of play and earning well over a hundred caps for his country.
21Landon Donovan
Landon Donovan is widely regarded as one of the greatest American soccer players ever. His last-gasp goal against Algeria at the 2010 international tournament remains one of the most iconic moments in U.S. soccer history.

Bring the excitement of the soccer field into math time with the Soccer Strike Workbook - a 58-page printable resource designed to make essential number skills feel like a championship challenge.
Students first learn the number connected to each soccer player card. Then they use those visual clues to solve problems across six engaging activities. The challenge grows gradually through four levels: students begin with the number, picture, and name together; then the supports fade until they can solve from the player's name alone. That built-in progression gives teachers an easy way to differentiate while helping students strengthen recall, confidence, and fluency.
Inside, students tackle 480 total problems across 24 worksheets:
Number Battle - multiplication practice
Addition Battle - add two player-card values
Difference Duel - subtraction practice
Missing Card - solve for the unknown number
Sum of 10 - build fluency with number pairs that make 10
Double Dash - strengthen doubles and early multiplication facts
Every activity includes four levels of support:
Level 1: number + picture + name
Level 2: picture + name
Level 3: picture only
Level 4: name only
This flexible format is ideal for whole-group practice, math centers, small groups, independent work, early finishers, homework, intervention, review, or enrichment. Soccer fans get a theme they love, while teachers get meaningful practice that can grow with each learner.

Where numbers clash and champions multiply.
USA Soccer Strike takes the classic card game of War and gives it meaning. Instead of a plain number, every card is a USMNT player: Matt Turner is 1, Yunus Musah is 6, Ricardo Pepi is 9. Players decode the clue into a number, multiply against their opponent, and race to shout the answer. First to call the correct product wins the round.
It's the kind of game that doesn't feel like practice. Kids build number sense, memory, and multiplication recall while playing a soccer showdown with players they actually know — and four Wild "legend" cards (Dempsey, Bradley, Pulisic, and Donovan) that ADD to your opponent's card before you multiply, turning any round on its head.
The genius is the four-level design. The same thirteen cards print in four decks, each revealing a little less. Beginners start on Level 1 with the number, picture, and name all showing. As recall improves, players climb — until Level 4, where only the name remains and it's pure memory. Mix decks together and everyone from a struggling learner to a multiplication master stays in the same game.
When the cards are put away, the built-in workbook keeps the practice going: six worksheets and 150 problems that scale right alongside the decks, from straightforward multiplication matches up to the full Wild-card mix. Every worksheet has a complete answer key, so it's ready for the classroom, homeschool, tutoring, or the kitchen table with zero prep. Finish the challenge and print the Certificate of Completion to celebrate a true Number Battle champion.
Just print, cut, and play.

Players decode both clues, multiply them, and the first to shout the product takes the pile. See it. Solve it. Say it. It's the fluency of a drill with the pull of a game, and it works both sides of the brain — language and math firing at once — so word-lovers and number-lovers both get a foothold.
